Linda Osborne Mullikin
Worship Director
Linda Osborne Mullikin has been involved in worship ministry since her teen
years. A native Atlantan, Linda graduated cum laude from Samford University in
Birmingham, Alabama,
with
a degree in music education and an emphasis in vocal performance. For several
years she served as a full-time music staff member at First Baptist Church,
Atlanta, Georgia, where she led the junior and senior high school choir
program. Later she also led worship in their single adults department. On a
more classical note, Linda sang in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus under the
direction of the late Robert Shaw. Most recently, Linda also co-led worship for
several years at an evangelical church in north Atlanta.
A singer/songwriter and guitarist, Linda gives concerts, leads worship and
shares special music for church services, conferences, retreats, intercessory
prayer groups, women’s groups and community-wide events.
Linda and Don joined Lilburn Alliance in the summer of 1998 shortly before their
marriage. After two years of devoting herself to married life, Linda began to
serve under then-music pastor David Julian as a part of the worship team
ministry at LAC and has enjoyed leading worship occasionally on Sunday mornings,
for women’s meetings and for the annual Missions Festival.
Linda joined the staff as worship director in June 2005 upon David Julian’s
retirement. Linda also serves as dean of worship for the southeast campus of
the College of Prayer, a ministry of prayer renewal and mentoring for pastors
and church leaders. Her husband Don serves on LAC’s governing elder board and
heads up the prayer ministry.
Linda’s debut recording, Over & Over, was released in 1995 and has enjoyed a
very positive response. Linda completed her second recording project, Arms of
Love, in the summer of 2001. Both albums have received radio airplay in Atlanta
and beyond. Her ministry focuses on the preeminence of Christ, His love for the
Church, and God’s desire to draw all men unto Himself.
Upon Linda and Don’s marriage on November 21, 1998, Don’s two sons, Joshua and
David, warmly welcomed Linda into the family. David has since married the
former Laurel Creath and they have a new son, Christian Taylor! Linda quips
that people often say if they could have a chance that they would have
grandchildren first … and she did!
In her leisure time, she also enjoys reading, walking, entertaining,
gardening, and deep-sea fishing with her husband. Of course, she also
especially relishes any time she can have with her grandson!
